Hear the drone.

TROPLOX is an AI-powered acoustic system that detects drones and points to where they are coming from.

What is troplox

Drone detection via sound waves.

A network of sound sensing antennas developed by I/O Tech. IT hears what cameras and radars are missing, and turns the sound characteristic into a clear action item for operators.

Passive listening unit

A compact field unit that only listens. It emits no signal, so it stays quiet and easy to deploy as a new layer of awareness.

AI that recognises drones

Artificial intelligence analyses sound patterns and recognises potential drone signatures, even when nothing is visible yet.

Direction at a glance

The operator panel shows an alert and the direction of the sound source, so the first reaction starts in the right place.

At TROPLOX, we believe the first warning should not depend on what the eye can see. Our mission is to give protected places an acoustic layer of awareness, so people can recognise drone threats earlier and respond with confidence.

Applications

Built for the places that need awareness.

Public sector

Cities & critical infrastructure

Defence

Airports

Private security

How it works

Sound becomes actionable information.

Detection range

Diagram showing estimated acoustic detection ranges by UAV class, with a Troplok microphone array at 0 m and detection ranges for DJI Mini 4 Pro C0 at 36 m (74 dB), DJI Phantom 4 RTK at over 206.5 m (~89.1 dB), DJI Matrice 350 RTK at 513 m (97 dB), DJI Agras T50 at 1.62 km (~107 dB), and Shahed-136 / Geran-2 at 2.88 km (~112 dB). Phantom 4 RTK measurements are directional lower bounds, others are physics-equivalent model estimates.

Built by engineers. Driven by real-world challenges.

TROPLOX is developed in-house by IO Tech, a team combining acoustics, signal processing and artificial intelligence. We work with our own research tools and datasets, and we already have a working proof of concept and functional prototypes.
